The smartphone that thinks big

In the summer of 2016, we were tasked with launching a new device for Samsung that was touted as "The smartphone that thinks big" and decided to pair it up with three global figures who are thinking big and changing the rules in their respective industries. We were fortunate to be able to work with Bjarke Ingels (Architect & Founder of Bjarke Ingels Group), Reshma Saujani (Founder & CEO of Girls Who Code) and Slava Rubin (co-founder of Indiegogo).

During a prelaunch phase, we wanted to build intrigue to product features that were already being speculated online as well as introduce our change makers but had to do so without showing the device or any UI. What came next was three shoot days in New York and one in Copenhagen, Denmark followed by an intense 7 days of post production to meet the launch deadline.

Along with the official launch of the product, the long form film was released showing off the device as well as giving our audience a peek into the worlds of these change makers and how the device fits into their everyday life.

The video was viewed over 7 million times on YouTube in the first week and was listed in AdAge's Viral Videos Top Ten upon its debut.
